RE SYMPOSIUM

LOCATION

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

Held at MCEC, and based in the Convention Centre, the RE Symposium is utilising one of the plenary spaces for whole group gatherings, as well as convention centre rooms on Level 2.

The plenary space will be the main gathering area in the morning to begin the day, as well as being used for larger or more popular workshops. The plenary space can accommodate 1400 participants and will be an important place for prayer, animation, and the keynote addresses.

During the workshops, there will also be a larger event held in the plenary space, such as an introduction to the draft Religious Education curriculum from the writing team at MACS, or a large group session on approaches to prayer in the classroom.

On level 2, there are another ten workshop spaces which range from a capacity of 60 - 120 participants for each session. These spaces will be allocated to workshop groupings on an expected popularity basis - with workshops filling up on a first come basis.

HOW TO GET THERE:

With a central location, and limited parking, the best way to get to MCEC is likely to be by public transport. MCEC is a short walk from Southern Cross Station, or from a tram stop out the front of the convention and exhibition centre.
