The RE Symposium 2026 – Inspired by Faith brings together Catholic school and parish leaders for two days of learning, reflection, and collaboration focused on excellence in Religious Education and Catholic identity.
Hosted by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), the symposium brings together a diverse range of international, national, and local presenters to support schools in enhancing curriculum practice, strengthening faith leadership, and preparing for the implementation of the new Religious Education Curriculum.
The symposium is designed for Catholic school leaders, Religious Education leaders, teachers, clergy, religious, and others involved in faith formation and Religious Education.
Initial registrations are reserved for four attendees from each school community until May 17. After May 17 registrations will be opened up to fill the remaining spaces.
The symposium includes keynote plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and professional networking.
You will be invited to select your workshop preferences as part of the registration process. Please note that workshop attendance is subject to availability and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Final workshop details will be shared closer to the event date. The symposium will be held over two days at the Melbourne Convention and
Exhibition Centre (MCEC). Full event details will be provided in your confirmation email.

Yes. Participation in keynote sessions and workshops contributes to professional learning and accreditation requirements.
Attendance across both days of the symposium provides a minimum of 10 professional learning hours which are aligned to the VCEA Accreditation Policy (Teach or Teach RE and Lead in a Catholic School).
